The Role

Helly Hansen is looking for a Junior Materials Manager who assists the Materials team in fabric development and testing, supporting the materials team with documentation, sample tracking, and supplier communication. This role is ideal for early-career professionals eager to grow within a dynamic and innovative environment.

The Junior Materials developer contributes to the silent innovation behind Helly Hansen’s technical waterproof and insulated garments.

Key responsibilities

  • Support fabric development projects and assist in testing procedures for high-performance materials.
  • Maintain internal database and sourcing documentation.
  • Assist in sample tracking and supplier communication.
  • Participate in supplier visits.
  • Oversee the material library and contribute to the creation of textile trend forecasting reports.
  • Participate in meetings with cross functional teams.

Reports to: Senior Materials Manager, Team Leader
Location:  Oslo, Norway

What we are looking for

  • 0–2 years of experience in textile or fabric development.
  • Bachelor´s degree in textile or textile engineering.
  • Experience of PLM systems and Microsoft Office programs is a plus.
  • Good organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good time management.
