Innovative Textile and Clothing Systems & Product Development

The replacement is a parental leave replacement. The appointment is for a fixed term in a non-tariff employment relationship. The remuneration is based on the basic salary of grade W2. The teaching load is 9 SWS.

Tasks

  • Teaching courses (German/English) in the Bachelor of Textile and Clothing Technology and the Master of Textile and Clothing Management. Possible subjects would be "Digital Design 3", "Innovative Applications", "Industrial Project", "Smart Textiles" or "Innovative Textile and Clothing Systems".
  • Close coordination with the Clothing Design and Industrial Production departments.
  • Supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses.
  • Active participation in academic self-administration.

Profile

Applicants must fulfill the general requirements under employment law in accordance with § 47 of the Baden-Württemberg Higher Education Act.
In addition, proof must be provided of

  • Completed studies in the field of textile and clothing engineering or textile technology.
  • Experience in teaching and enjoyment of didactic and practice-oriented knowledge transfer, enthusiasm for innovative teaching formats.
  • Specialist knowledge in product development and cutting technology (clothing and technical products), CAD systems (preferably Lectra). Experience in smart textiles, innovation management and project management is desirable.
  • Team spirit, communication skills and the motivation to inspire students for your subject area.

Recruitment requirements according to §47 of the State Higher Education Act (LHG BW) for professors include:
Completed university degree, special aptitude for academic work (usually a doctorate), pedagogical aptitude and at least five years of professional experience, of which at least three years outside the university sector.
