Freelance specialist (m/f/d) for merchandising and sales
We are looking for an experienced freelance merchandising and distribution specialist to support the growth of our own brands and private label brands, primarily in the European market but also internationally. This position is ideal for an experienced industry professional with in-depth industry knowledge, strong retail contacts, a modern understanding of digital retail trends and experience in supporting premium and luxury fashion customers.
Responsibilities
- Position: Freelance specialist for merchandising and sales
- Focus: Development of own brands and in-house brands as well as market expansion
- Time commitment: 10-12 hours per week
- Working hours: 2 or 3 days per week (flexible)
- Languages: Fluent in German and English
- Location: Germany (willingness to travel required)
Required experience
- At least 10 years of experience in the fashion industry
- Sound experience in sales, merchandise presentation and brand representation
- In-depth understanding of the DACH market (Germany, Austria and Switzerland)
- Well connected with buyers in upscale and luxury retail
- Experience in dealing with own brands and private labels is an advantage
- Proven track record in building retail partnerships and increasing sales
- E-commerce and social media expertise with an understanding of how digital channels drive brand growth and customer loyalty
- Strong communication, negotiation and networking skills
