DESIGNER (GN) KNITWEAR

Your responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the creative development and design of the knitwear product group for retail
- Developing color and trend concepts and co-designing 4 market-oriented collections
- Design drafts, material selection, and fit testing from the initial technical sketch through to production-ready stage
- Selection of suitable yarns and materials in accordance with the machinery at the production facilities
- Conducting sampling and technical testing
- Analysis and correction of knitting defects (e.g., tension, stitch pattern, dimensional stability, etc.)
- Monitoring of quality, fit, and workmanship
- Organizing and ensuring collection development that meets deadlines and market demands
- Supporting the entire product development process in close coordination with internal and external partners
- Selection, coordination, and development of all materials used in prototyping
Your profile:
- A successfully completed degree in fashion design
- Several years of professional experience as a knitwear designer
- A keen sense of fashion and trends, as well as high creativity and attention to detail
- Knowledge of knitting yarns and an understanding of material properties
- Expertise in knitting techniques, flat and circular knitting machines, and the development of knitting patterns
- Experience with intarsia, fully fashioned, and seamless technologies
- Understanding of gauge and the nuances of different yarns
- Technical understanding and creativity in technical implementation
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator
- Very good technical English skills
