Area Sales Manager (m/w/d) – DACH Region

LIEWOOD is a design-driven company specializing in toys, interior, furniture, accessories, wear, and footwear for babies and children. We are dedicated to aesthetics, quality, and responsibility – values that define our brand and make LIEWOOD the fun and fair choice for families worldwide. 

We are now looking for a driven, experienced, and German-speaking Area Sales Manager to join our Sales team for the important DACH region. You will be part of a strong team, where you will have the opportunity to evolve in a fast- growing, energetic business, in a job with diverse market & sales challenges.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will spearhead B2B sales throughout the DACH markets, such as southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Your mission includes nurturing and expanding existing accounts, strategizing, and executing sales initiatives for both new and existing customers, and actively contributing to the growth and improvement of customer relations.

The DACH region is one of the biggest markets for LIEWOOD, and we have a solid base of customers whereas many are digitally founded. We are expanding into new categories and need an Area Sales Manager to join this expansion and identify and pen new customers.

You will be our sales representative located either in Munich or Düsseldorf and be part of a talented team of international sales colleagues who will collaborate with you to succeed. Travel activity is expected to be around 30-40 days a year.

You will work from home and on the road.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee B2B sales operations in the dynamic DACH market
  • Cultivate and expand existing accounts, maximizing returns on investment
  • Strategize and execute sales plans for both new and existing customers
  • Acquire and develop regional key accounts
  • Actively engage in sales activities towards large clients
  • Conduct daily follow-ups with customers, emphasizing ongoing sales and supplementary offerings
  • Plan budgets for each season, aligning them with market demands and business strategies
  • Take charge of sales staff training, and visual merchandising as needed
  • Participating in relevant trade fairs when required
  • Facilitate successful collection launches in collaboration with customers and LIEWOOD Marketing
  • Analyze customer performance to identify additional business opportunities and maximize potential growth

You are:

  • Detail-oriented, with a good overview to manage and prioritize your tasks in a busy everyday life
  • Efficient, decisive, and proactive – a self-starter who takes responsibility
  • Structured, analytic, data-oriented
  • A merchant who understands a P&L and optimizing ROI

You have

  • A university degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years sales experience with fashion lifestyle industry, preferably kids
  • Proven track record of growing sales areas in previous years
  • A very good command of written and spoken English. Fluent in German
  • Strong knowledge and network within regional retail landscapes across Germany, Switzerland and Austria
  • Frequent market travels to identify business opportunities, to drive sustainable growth and foster customer relationships
  • Frequent travels to LIEWOOD HQ
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially outlook, excel and powerpoint
