TRANQUILLO GmbH is a medium-sized family-owned business based in Dresden. We design, produce, and sell sustainable fashion as well as a wide range of small and large items for decorating, carrying around, hanging up, or placing on a surface—things you simply enjoy having around.
We personally oversee the production of our products on-site, because maintaining a close relationship with our manufacturers is important to us. Sustainability is at the heart of how we operate: We use eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, Tencel, and linen, and are certified by various sustainability labels, including GOTS, RAF, and GRS.
From product development to sales, we manage all processes independently and without middlemen—in the B2B, B2C, and D2C sectors. We operate a total of 11 stores and also collaborate with a global network of wholesalers.
Your responsibilities with us:
- You’ll conduct store visits both domestically and abroad, attend trade shows, and conduct online research on trend platforms to stay up to date on the latest fashion trends
- You’ll develop styles and prints for our sustainable product line—from the initial sketch to the finished worksheet.
- You’ll create and revise patterns and WH worksheets in close collaboration with our manufacturers.
- You’ll conduct fittings, write sample comments, and coordinate corrections directly with manufacturers. Trips to visit manufacturers twice a year are standard.
- You’ll oversee the entire product development process in close collaboration with internal and external partners
- You’ll plan outfits, styling, and mood boards for campaign and catalog shoots, be on-site, and approve the final images.
- You’ll contribute to lookbooks, catalogs, and agent presentations, and showcase the collection at trade shows.
- You’ll actively help shape and further develop processes, methods, and digital technologies—such as the use of AI in design.
What you bring to the table:
- You have several years of experience in the fashion industry and possess in-depth knowledge of textile design
- You have a college degree or vocational training in design, or a comparable qualification
- You have a keen sense of trends and a strong sense of style when it comes to the sustainable signature of the collection
- You possess a high degree of creativity, an innovative spirit, and an eye for detail
- You have experience in fit, patternmaking, craftsmanship, and quality
- You’re a true team player, have strong communication skills, and enjoy taking the initiative
- You have the ability to empathize well with our sustainable target audience
- You are fully proficient in Adobe CC (especially Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop)
- You have already gained experience working with Adobe Firefly (AI)
- Very good German and English skills
- A structured and independent work style
- Team leadership: Technical leadership of a 2-person team
