The Bundeswehr’s uniforms are our business.

From specifications through tendering, awarding contracts, and quality assurance to logistics, distribution, and reprocessing, Bw Bekleidungsmanagement GmbH (BwBM) is responsible for the entire value chain of Bundeswehr clothing—from shoes to helmets.

We provide uniforms for approximately 250,000 active-duty service members, reservists, and civilian employees of the Bundeswehr.

Employee (m/f/d)

Incoming Goods Inspection/Quality Control

The Clothing Center (BZ) is one of our modern, fully automated large-scale warehouses. At the BZ, goods are stored, picked, and shipped to our service stations. It thus serves as the interface between the procurement and distribution of workwear for our service members. The satellite warehouse in Osterrönfeld supports our Clothing Center in Rendsburg.

There, quality inspectors from various disciplines check the quality of the delivered new and used clothing and equipment upon receipt. Only goods that meet the agreed-upon quality standards are accepted as proper deliveries and transferred to the ownership of the Bundeswehr.

Quality inspection thus plays a vital role in quality assurance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing incoming goods—i.e., new and used items—including verifying that the shipment is complete
  • Inspecting the delivered clothing and equipment to ensure they are manufactured properly and in accordance with specifications
  • Identifying deviations and digitally documenting the inspection results
  • Conducting the final inspection
  • Assisting with complaint handling

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Relevant professional experience, e.g., in a warehouse as a seamstress, tailor, shoemaker, or quality control inspector in incoming goods inspection or final inspection
  • Ideally, professional experience as a quality inspector in the apparel, footwear, or leather goods industry
  • A strong commitment to quality and an extremely meticulous and reliable work ethic
  • Experience using digital systems/merchandise management systems
  • High level of commitment
  • Good command of German, both spoken and written

WHAT WE OFFER:

As an in-house federal government agency, we offer you a secure job with the following benefits:

  • Regular working hours with no shift work or weekend work
  • Competitive compensation with a clear career development path
  • Corporate benefits (exclusive employee discounts)
  • A culture of respect, reliability, and a commitment to excellence
  • Individualized training opportunities, both internal and external
  • A performance-based compensation system, a culture of active feedback, and, as a rule, an annual performance-based salary adjustment
