Quality Engineer / Clothing Technician (f/m/d)

Textile – knitted and warp knitted articles

Product Quality is part of BwBM’s Product Management department and accompanies the procurement process for clothing and equipment from the award procedure to the delivery of new goods. Quality assurance measures are coordinated as early as the contract award stage and later implemented to accompany the manufacturing process. You can expect a dynamic team that enjoys exchanging ideas and supporting each other. It goes without saying that you will receive structured and comprehensive training. The article group you will be responsible for includes knitwear and warp knit articles (such as sportswear and swimwear, (functional) underwear, sweaters, T-shirts and polo shirts).

YOUR TASKS:

As an expert for knitwear (knitted and warp knitted articles), you will work independently in a small team with structured work processes on the following challenging activities:

  • You will ensure compliance with quality specifications (from the awarding process to the delivery of goods)
  • You will be responsible for planning, applying, reviewing and adapting quality assurance measures
  • You create product and quality specifications, inspection plans as well as document, material and sample inspections and process complaints
  • You act as technical support for the inspection personnel at the warehouse locations
  • You are the contact person for contractors as well as internal and external customers, communicate precisely and enjoy working in a team

YOUR PROFILE:

  • You have completed vocational training, with a focus on stitching or knitting, in the field of clothing technology / textile technology / knitting etc. or a comparable qualification.
  • Through your relevant professional experience, you have acquired comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes (circular and flat knitting, warp knitting processes) and garment manufacture.
  • You have experience with quality assurance methods, quality development, guidelines and standards, or are willing to familiarize yourself with them.
  • Confident handling of MS Office applications and SAP experience desirable
  • Independent work and high quality standards for your own work are very important to you.
  • You are characterized by analytical thinking and a cross-process understanding.
