YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently creating and refining technical documentation such as bill of materials, model descriptions, manufacturing specifications, and technical sketches
- Planning, coordinating, and documenting prototype and SMS samples as well as fittings through to production approval (PP)
- Managing and overseeing the entire development process, including sample component development, fit testing, and quality control
- Technical coordination with design, product management, purchasing, suppliers, and production partners, as well as facilitating communication with our specialty customers
- Testing, evaluating, and approving sample parts, as well as identifying and implementing opportunities for optimization
- Managing and overseeing the development of embroidery and printing solutions while taking technical and quality requirements into account
- Ensuring high technical product quality and the continuous optimization of processes and product standards
- Ensuring complete, up-to-date, and compliant PLM master data (articles/styles, bills of materials, development statuses, milestones), including the quality of the ERP interface
- Contributing to the further development of systems
- Continuous improvement of development processes (CIP), standardization of templates, checklists, and quality gates
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- A college degree or vocational training in apparel technology, apparel engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in technical product development, ideally with in-depth expertise in the field of shirts and blouses
- Excellent knowledge of fit, construction, materials, and production-related processes
- Experience with price inquiries and price negotiations with suppliers, as well as product costing
- Proficiency in using PDM/PLM and ERP systems, as well as Adobe Illustrator
- Strong focus on quality, technical understanding, and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong communication skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and spoken German (at least B2 level) and English
