Bw Bekleidungsmanagement GmbH (BwBM) is responsible for the entire value chain of Bundeswehr clothing - from shoes to helmets - from specification to tendering, awarding and quality assurance to logistics, sales and processing.

Team Leader (f/m/d)

Service Management

All female soldiers and civilian employees of the Bundeswehr can have their service clothing and equipment listed in the BAN cleaned free of charge. You will coordinate the cooperation between service providers, regions and customers and thus make a significant contribution to smooth service and high customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a leader to take over our "Laundry Services Management and Procurement" team - with planned, structured induction and handover to the team leader (successor). In this role, you will manage external service providers, further develop management tools and reporting and ensure reliable service provision in day-to-day operations. At the same time, you will be the central point of contact for tenders/contracts and a technical expert in related projects for the further development of our services. We will provide you with the specialist domain of "laundry services" as part of an intensive induction; however, your management and control skills as well as a strong understanding of figures and processes are crucial for us.

YOUR TASKS:

  • You will be responsible for the operation of the entire external laundry network and ensure that all contractually agreed services are reliably provided.
  • You will lead a team of 4 employees both professionally and disciplinary and conduct regular employee appraisals and derive personnel assessments and necessary further training measures from this.
  • You will further develop the laundry network conceptually, strategically bundle contracts and work towards long-term price stability and security of supply.
  • You will be responsible for operational processing in accordance with contracts and requirements and also manage the service providers using relevant key figures.
  • In close cooperation with interface areas (e.g. SCM, internal logistics, controlling, purchasing, IT), you will contribute to the overall development of BwBM and actively participate in projects and the further development of your team.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Degree in business administration with a focus on logistics/controlling/supply chain management or comparable training
  • Relevant professional experience and at least two years of management experience in a comparable position (e.g. operations/service management, supplier/vendor management, logistics/SCM)
  • Strong numerical skills and confident handling of MS Office incl. Excel skills and ideally knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, results-oriented and implementation-oriented working style and a high sense of responsibility
  • Affinity for process digitization (e.g. workflow/communication solutions, reporting, tools)
  • Willingness to travel for specific reasons (approx. twice a month)
