W2 PROFESSORSHIP (m/f/x) Yarn and Nonwoven Technology

Starting in the winter semester of 2027/2028 or later, the TEXOVERSUM Faculty of Textiles has the following professorship to fill:

• You will teach nonwoven technologies and yarn production with a focus on natural fibers and staple-fiber yarns.
• You will teach sustainability topics (bio-based materials, processes, and recyclability).
• You will lead and further develop the laboratory for yarn and nonwoven production.
• You will conduct research in the field covered by the advertised professorship.
• You will provide individual and dedicated guidance to students and maintain a strong presence on campus.
• You will actively participate in academic self-governance and in the program’s team.

• A college degree in engineering or the natural sciences, ideally in the field of textiles, as well as relevant academic achievements, typically demonstrated by a Ph.D.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in the field of yarn and/or nonwoven technology, ideally with leadership experience.
• The ability to teach in German and English.
• Very good teaching skills, particularly in handling diverse classroom situations,
• ideally, relevant teaching experience.
• Willingness to teach courses on the fundamentals of engineering and the natural sciences.
• Intercultural competence, initiative, and enthusiasm for being part of a dynamic and dedicated team.
