Product Developer (m/f/d)
(PPE & Technical Textiles – Regulatory Authorities)
What you can expect from us:
- User-oriented product development: In the tender business for MIL&LE, in compliance with technical specifications (in Adobe Illustrator) with a focus on “design to cost.”
- Collaboration in collection development
- Bids: Creation of designs, preparation of proposals, and submission of bid documents
- Project management: planning, deadline tracking, and maintenance of project timelines. Responsibility for project coordination in close cooperation with all relevant stakeholders.
- Costing and price negotiations: Shared responsibility for costing and pricing, including obtaining quotes, conducting plausibility checks, and optimizing prices for finished parts.
- Model management: Recording and managing materials and models in the PLM system.
- Production control: Organization and oversight of production-related processes up to SMS status, providing feedback on samples, and issuing production releases.
- Product marketing: Creation of labels, tech packs, spec sheets, and trade show support
What you bring to the table:
- Completed vocational training in apparel technology with experience in the field of technical textiles, preferably in MIL&LE
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in product development
- Market insight, specialized knowledge of functional materials, and knowledge of PPE testing and certification
- Proficiency with ERP/PDM systems, common Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe Illustrator
- Experience in project management and process control
- Independent, self-reliant, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Sense of responsibility, strong organizational skills, cost awareness, flexibility, and strong communication skills
- Ability to turn creative ideas into cost-effective solutions
- High level of team spirit and openness to new challenges
- Excellent German and very good English skills
