YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independent development, construction, and optimization of sophisticated patterns in 2D and 3D—from the initial idea to production approval
- Creating and grading patterns that ensure a perfect fit, taking into account quality, cost, and production requirements
- Determining and analyzing fabric consumption as the basis for cost calculations and production planning
- Maintaining, further developing, and ensuring the consistency of a pattern database
- Creating, providing, and quality-checking production-ready patterns for internal and external partners
- Evaluation and optimization of fit, workmanship, and quality based on sample pieces and pre-production prototypes
- Close collaboration with product management, design, purchasing, and production, as well as providing technical support within the development team
- Actively contributing to and further developing processes, methods, and digital technologies in the area of pattern development
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- A successfully completed degree in apparel engineering, fashion product development, or a comparable program, e.g., as a patternmaker
- Several years of professional experience in pattern development and construction, ideally in the demanding fashion or menswear industry
- Excellent knowledge of common CAD systems, preferably Assyst, as well as experience with PDM/PLM systems
- Solid experience with 3D applications such as Vidya, Style3D, or CLO, and a passion for digital product development processes
- A keen sense of fit, pattern-making techniques, workmanship, and quality
- Good written and spoken English skills
- An independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work, along with a strong sense of responsibility
