Patternmaker (m/f/d)
Ballistic protective vests
YOUR TASKS:
- You will create and grade patterns for ballistic protective vests and carrying equipment, ensuring fit, ergonomics and wearing comfort
- You develop, maintain and archive patterns digitally using CAD pattern systems
- You create model numbers, article-related master data and parts lists (BOM) in PLM / ERP and maintain these in coordination with work preparation, textile technology and purchasing
- You contribute to the creation of work plans by providing technical cutting specifications and design information
- You create technical model documents (dimension tables, tolerances, processing details) and maintain them, including optional technical drawings for Tech Packs and external garment manufacturers
- You accompany the sample process, assess fit and processing, document results and implement necessary changes
- You further develop basic cuts and shapes for various product lines and wearing concepts and keep them up to date
YOUR PROFILE:
- You have training or a degree as a pattern technician (m/f/d), pattern director (m/f/d), pattern maker (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification; alternatively, you are a master tailor (m/f/d) with sound experience in industrial pattern making
- You have professional experience in pattern making and grading, ideally in the clothing or textile industry; experience in workwear, PPE or military equipment is an advantage
- You have very good knowledge of pattern making, grading, fit and industrial production processes
- You are confident with CAD cutting systems (Assyst or similar); experience with 3D software is desirable
- You communicate confidently at interfaces, especially when coordinating fit and change requirements
- You have a very good command of German and English and are willing to travel to production sites and suppliers
