Head of Department (f/m/d)
Product quality and product utilization
The Product Quality department supports BwBM's procurement process for clothing and equipment - from the award procedure to the delivery of new goods. Quality assurance measures are coordinated as early as the contract award stage and later implemented to accompany the manufacturing process.
As part of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), the serviceability of the Bundeswehr's clothing and equipment inventory is ensured during the utilization phase, even over long periods of time, through suitable processing/maintenance measures, and material preservation concepts are developed in order to specify and monitor these centrally.
You can expect dynamic teams that work independently and in a structured manner and enjoy exchanging ideas and supporting each other.
Your tasks:
- You are responsible for the strategic control & assurance of product quality and product utilization for all products.
- You will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary management of the product quality teams, currently comprising 23 employees.
- The establishment of a further 10-person team with a focus on product data / utilization to perform a company-wide control function.
- As a sparring partner, you will advise the management and divisional management as well as the Bundeswehr on all technical decisions.
- You will be responsible for the structured (further) development, implementation, control and review of existing QA processes.
- In addition, you will ensure compliance with QA standards, defined key figures and the legally compliant implementation of quality standards.
Your profile:
- Completed studies in clothing technology/textile technology/industrial engineering with a technical focus or a comparable qualification
- At least ten years of relevant professional experience, including at least five years in a managerial role with a strategic focus
- Proven success in the implementation of PLM topics, especially in connection with comprehensive IT support, ideally SAP
- Sound experience with quality assurance methods, quality development, guidelines and standards
- Analytical thinking and a cross-process understanding in combination with a strong creative drive
- General project management experience, ideally in an IT environment desirable
