As Head of Store Design & Visual Merchandising you will play a pivotal role in a startup-like setting in our expanding Store division. In this high-impact role, you will be shaping the future Look & Feel of our Stores and the resulting Customer Experience. You will be leading the development and built-out of our new Stores, overseeing the interior design processes as well as leading the execution through our Visual Merchandising team, ensuring the creation of exciting Store environments and efficient processes. This position is unlimited and located in Munich.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- create a top-notch, brand-specific and tech-enhanced Store concept (combining Retail Design, Interior Design & Visual Merchandising) that combines architectural excellence, aesthetics and commercial functionality to deliver an inspiring customer experience and maximise space sales and efficiency
- lead the areas of Retail Design, Interior Design and Visual Merchandising to ensure everything works hand in hand to develop and execute the most exciting home & living Stores with highest commercial ability
- drive the development and build-out of new stores by creating captivating retail designs, ensuring meticulous planning, and streamlining construction processes to deliver stores on time, on budget, and aligned with design standards
- oversee the creation and implementation of exceptional interior designs that showcase our products in an inspiring yet commercially effective manner
- ensure flawless execution of inspiring store environments (e.g., room sets, shelf displays) by enabling smooth and efficient visual merchandising operations
- stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating all relevant insights into our Store design & visual merchandising
- lead by example and foster a positive, collaborative work environment, innovation and excellence
YOU COME WITH
- 10+ years of proven experience in a leadership role in Retail Design, Retail Architecture and Visual Merchandising or a similar role within the premium/luxury retail industry (ideally home & living or fashion)
- a strong track record of the ability to create inspiring yet functional retail and interior designs, based on an excellent understanding of the latest and upcoming interior design & styling trends
- deep knowledge of how design and visual merchandising drive customer experience and sales
- a strategic yet hands-on mentality, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a super fast-paced and highly dynamic work environment
- excellent project management skills, particularly in balancing creativity with deadlines, process adherence and simultaneous process optimisation
- a high degree of leadership skills, shaping a motivational team spirit while driving performance and innovation always to the next level
- proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. with excellent German and English skills (written and spoken), and flexibility to travel across Europe as needed
