Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) Offshore and Asia
YOUR TASKS:
- You will manage the project-related procurement and processing of finished textile products developed in-house as well as textile merchandise for major projects in the offshore sector, especially in Asia
- You will prepare the basis for decision-making and evaluate offshore projects in terms of sales and turnover
- You will be responsible for supplier management and develop and implement supplier strategies for the offshore sector with a focus on Asia
- You will independently conduct price, condition and contract negotiations
- You will organize quality and acceptance tests, including the involvement of external service providers
- You will be responsible for project controlling and reporting, including cost break-down, post-calculation and intercompany prices
- You plan freight and transport handling (sea freight, containers, air freight) together with the logistics department
- You will be responsible for complaints and error management for offshore suppliers
- You coordinate rolling project planning and reporting with the offshore office
YOUR PROFILE:
- You have a degree in textile technology or economics, ideally with a focus on supply chain management, procurement, logistics or a comparable qualification
- You have several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, particularly in the procurement of textiles
- You have experience with procurement from third countries and are familiar with the legal and logistical requirements, preferably in Asia
- You are proficient in negotiation tactics and methods and have in-depth specialist knowledge in this area
- You have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills as well as strong communication skills
- You have very good IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- You are business fluent in German and English and are willing to travel regularly to our subsidiary and occasionally to Asia on business trips
